Client Problem
The client had a small his and hers walk-in closet within the primary bedroom and an existing chest of drawers that provided inadequate storage and functionality. Both husband and wife had the immediate need for additional space for hanging and folded clothes as well as ample space for all their shoes and accessories.
After investigating new furniture options, they could not find exactly what they needed both aesthetically and functionally and the costs and the lead times proved frustrating.
Additionally, they investigated custom closet design from the national companies and found the product costs high for the poor quality of the materials and did not really wish to undergo the mess and inconvenience associated with demolition within their primary bedroom.
Our Solution
Timber Industries was quickly able to design a custom built in cabinetry solution with features that resolved all the owners needs which added value, storage, and functionality.
Design features included his and her base cabinetry that replaced older existing furnishings. The modified built-in wardrobes provided much desired hanging and folding space, with added retractable belt and tie holders, and angled fence support for ample shoe storage. Accents including crown molding and wood countertops, and flush mounted with base molding really created that upscale custom look.
Our biggest challenges were that our existing closets were not large enough to accommodate all our clothing and lacked organizational opportunities.
Timber Industries was able to provide us with a built-in solution that included both additional hanging and folded storage space that was customized for exactly what we needed, at a price that was affordable, and with lead times that beat that of the purchase of traditional furniture.
